Carlos Correa

Carlos Correa is an Emmy-nominated reporter and Multimedia Journalist for CW6 News. He is very excited to be working and living in America’s Finest City. Carlos joins Jim Patton and Neda Iranpour weekdays at 4 p.m.

Carlos was born in Cali, Colombia and raised in Chicago. He has worked in local television news for the past 13 years covering a wide-variety of stories and breaking news.

Before moving to CW6 News, Carlos worked for close to three years as a reporter and anchor for KERO-TV, the ABC affiliate in Bakersfield, California.

Prior to that, Carlos was a news director and anchor for KRWG, the PBS and NPR affiliate in the Las Cruces, New Mexico / El Paso, Texas market.

Carlos also spent three years working as a reporter and anchor at KOLR/KSFX, the CBS and FOX station in Springfield, Missouri. While, at the station Carlos began teaching broadcast news writing classes for Missouri State University.

Carlos earned 10 Iowa Broadcasting News Association Awards for Best Spot News, General Assignment Reporting, Political Coverage, and In-Depth/Series while working as a reporter and anchor/producer for KTVO, the ABC affiliate in Ottumwa, Iowa.

He began his career at WMAQ, the NBC owned and operated station in Chicago.

Carlos graduated from Columbia College Chicago.
