Erika Cervantes is an Emmy nominated journalist who is excited to be back home in Southern California. She joined the CW6 News team in July 2015.
Erika started her reporting career in Fargo, North Dakota and spent two years at KVRR-TV. After Fargo, it was onto Iowa. During her time in Iowa, Erika covered the 2008 and 2012 Presidential Caucuses. She also reported on the historic 208 floods that destroyed several cities in Eastern Iowa. Erika was thrilled when she moved back to California for a reporting job at KMPH-TV in Fresno. During her time in the Central Valley, she reported on communities without water due to the drought and many breaking news stories.
Erika was born and raised in the Los Angeles area and graduated from U.C. Davis with a degree in History. In her spare time, Erika enjoys spending time with family, fiancé and shopping.
