Amy began her television career at CW6 in 2015.
She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and grew up in Inver Grove Heights. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a degree in Communication Studies.
Before moving to San Diego, Amy was the morning anchor at WXOW News 19 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She’s also worked as an anchor/reporter in Minnesota.
Amy is four-time Emmy award winner. She’s also won a number of Murrow and Sevareid awards and has been honored by the Associated Press of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association for her work as an anchor and reporter.
Amy is a former college gymnast and diver turned coach. She helps train the competitive team at Oceanside Gymnastics. She also serves on the UW-La Crosse Foundation board of directors.
When she’s not working, Amy enjoys spending time with her Marine and their sons Bryce and Aiden. She also like playing with her three crazy wiener dogs, doing anything outside and watching football. And no, she’s not a Packers fan! Amy’s heart belongs to the Minnesota Vikings — even when they are losing.
Amy loves the California sun. She says one of the best days of her life was the day she sold her snow blower! She can’t imagine spending another winter in the Midwest.
