Reporter / Multimedia Journalist
Jenny Day is a native San Diegan and proud Aztec!
She grew up in La Mesa, went to Grossmont High School and is now living out her dream to report the news in her hometown.
She has wanted to be a reporter since she was nine years old. After graduating with degrees in broadcast journalism and Spanish from San Diego State University, she got her start in TV in Bemidji, Minnesota. That’s right, San Diego to Northern Minnesota! She embraced the cold and even got into ice-fishing!
After reporting, anchoring and producing there, she moved to Burlington, Vermont. Jenny reported and anchored the news on the East Coast for two years.
After paying her dues, she moved back home to sunny San Diego in March 2014. “I feel so lucky to be back, this is the best city in the world,” she said. Jenny reports on whatever the day’s top stories are, but has a passion for stories surrounding cancer research and awareness. She is a spokesperson for the American Cancer Society.
Outside of work, Jenny spends as much time as possible with her sister and niece. Beach and pool days are frequent! Jenny enjoys traveling, drinking red wine and fishing!
