CAPTURED: Stabbing suspect and two-striker, Michael Lazzaro
The San Diego Fugitive Task Force captured a stabbing suspect who’s considered “armed and dangerous” about 2:30 p.m. Monday
Authorities say 23-year-old Michael John Lazzaro, a documented gang member and a two-striker with a violent past, was found in a house in the 8200 block of Mesa Road in Santee.
Officers surrounded the house, went inside and found Lazzaro holding a knife and hiding in a closet. When contacted by police, he dropped the knife and surrendered without incident.
Lazzaro is a suspect in what investigators are calling a “hate-crime stabbing” that happened in Lakeside in early January. The 23-year-old has also been wanted since then on warrants for burglary and grand theft.
The U.S. marshals say Michael Lazzaro goes by the nicknames Michael Daniels, “Mikey D” and “Lil Joker.” The 5’6″ fugitive has a number of tattoos… Including a Lakeside moniker on his stomach… and partial sleeves on both arms.
Lazzaro was taken into custudy just eight days after he was featured on “San Diego Fugitive of the Week” on San Diego 6 News.
