Helping our heroes get hitched, local couple performs 500th free military wedding

A San Diego couple is paying it forward, vowing to serve local veterans by helping them exchange their vows free of charge.  In fact, Monday marked a major milestone.  They officiated their 500th military wedding bayside at sunset on the grounds of the Bali Hai.

The husband and wife team that helps these heroes get hitched has a remarkable story of their own. San Diego 6’s Laura Cavanaugh introduces us to two local wedding chaplains and their selfless journey to serve those who serve us.

The Tuttles have been performing Military Mondays since 2007.  It is open to all branches of active duty military. Over the last five years, the chaplains, along with their team of wedding vendor volunteers, have donated more than $387,000 to local veterans.  To find out how you can connect and help them help you say "I do," log on to freemilitaryelopement.com
