Mr. Poppy is a very sweet 10-year-old male Chihuahua weighing 9-pounds.  This little guy was abandoned at the Carson Shelter where he didn’t stand a chance of getting out alive at his age.  He was alone, depressed, and confused.  But now he’s so happy to be out of the shelter. Thanks to his loving foster home, he’s quickly blossomed into a wonderful companion and a perfect gentleman.  He shows his appreciation every day by being cuddly and giving lots of kisses.  He loves chilling on the couch watching TV with his people.  His foster mom says he’s one of the best dogs she’s ever taken care of.  Poppy gets along great with other dogs. He’s respectful, obedient quiet and calm. He’s also housebroken. His adoption fee is only $75, and that includes his neuter, micro-chip, and all his vaccinations. As an incentive, a certified dog trainer is offering free training.  For more information about Poppy, please contact Judy with Holly’s Garden Small Breed Rescue at (858) 271-4900.  You can also go to HollysGarden.com for more information about other small breed dogs available for adoption, or to learn how you can become a foster family for a dog like Poppy.
